She holds a deep understanding of various therapeutic approaches including EFFT (Emotion Focused Family Therapy) DBT, CBT, and ACT. Jennifer specializes in providing group, individual, and family counseling. Holding a Master’s in Professional Counseling from Dallas Baptist University, she’s also earned a Bachelor’s in Christian Ministries and an Associates in Practical Theology. Jennifer is Certified as an LPC in Texas and Colorado, an LCPC in Illinois, and a CAMS-V Anger Management Specialist. Throughout her career, she’s worked in outpatient, residential, and inpatient settings with adults and adolescents struggling with eating disorders, mood, self-harm behaviors, and Individuals who are transitioning home from a treatment center. When not engaged in counseling practice, you’ll find her spending quality time with family, exploring the outdoors, and infusing joy into everyday life with spontaneous kitchen dance parties.

Amy Isom - LPC-A
Amy is a national board-certified counselor & a licensed professional counselor associate, with over 12 years of experience providing person – centered care. She is EMDR, CBT, DBT and ACT trained, and is also certified as a life and business coach. Amy obtained her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Her background in social work, ministry, military and leadership all serve as pillars for the empathetic, yet authentic way she holds space for her clients. Amy specializes in working with couples who are working through dysfunctional patterns, parenting difficulties and communication challenges. Amy also works with adult women and men experiencing challenges with impacts of trauma, goal setting, leadership development, relationship issues, boundary setting, insecurities, and co-dependency / people pleasing. As an author, speaker, and community builder, Amy has a passion for group therapy and facilitating corperate training for local companies and teams. Amy has a way of strategically stretching her clients in a gentle yet impactful way that often produces timely results, reframed mindsets, and rest for their soul.

Ben Stanzell, LPC-A
Ben works with individuals of all ages who are facing challenges like depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, grief, ADHD, behavioral issues, adjustment disorders, and more. He holds specialized training in child and adolescent trauma and also offers individual, family, and couples counseling for all ages. Ben also has training and experience in play therapy, which he often uses in sessions with children and adolescents. He’s trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Ben’s approach to counseling is tailored to the unique needs of each client, and he is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where individuals can express themselves freely. Ben offers both biblical and practical counseling, encouraging clients to get to the core struggles that exist. Ben received his Bachelors in Psychology with a minor in Christian Studies from Mississippi College and his Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas Tech University.

Vanessa is a licensed Registered Nurse and graduate practicum student completing her final year in the Marriage and Family Therapy Master’s program at The King’s University, under the site supervision of Scott Martindale, LPC-S. As a best-selling author, speaker, and the founder of Blended Kingdom Families Ministries, Vanessa brings a wealth of specialized experience to her counseling practice. Vanessa integrates solution-focused and cognitive therapeutic approaches within a strong biblical framework, guiding individuals, couples, and families through life’s diverse transitions. Her expertise encompasses pre-marital counseling, marriage enrichment, complex family dynamics, stepfamily integration challenges, effective co-parenting strategies, blended family legal considerations, and specialized support for teenage athletes navigating both personal development and performance pressures. As a blended family coach and podcaster, Vanessa regularly shares her insights and strategies with a broader audience, empowering families to thrive amid complex dynamics. Her personal journey, professional training, and ministry leadership have equipped her with exceptional compassion and practical wisdom to guide clients through past trauma toward emotional healing and fulfillment.

Taryn Freeby, Graduate Practicum Student
As a Marriage and Family Therapy graduate student with a foundation in kinesiology and exercise science, Taryn offers a holistic and integrative approach to mental health. She is passionate about helping individuals recognize the powerful connection between their thoughts, behaviors, and overall well-being. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused techniques, Taryn aims to support clients in reshaping unhelpful thought patterns, staying grounded in the present, and taking practical steps toward healing and growth. Taryn’s approach is client-centered and faith-informed, rooted in the belief that each person is created with purpose, value, and the potential for transformation. She feels called to walk alongside individuals as they discover their identity in Christ, gain clarity amid life’s challenges, and build meaningful lives with resilience and intention. With experience in group facilitation and wellness education, Taryn strives to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen, empowered, and equipped to move forward—one step at a time.
